the program
Extension Centers for Learning on Location is an extension of the Texas Bible College classroom to the local church. Any licensed UPCI Pastor can take advantage of this program and conduct these classes at your local church. It is our way of bringing the depth of Texas Bible College curriculum in reach of all who desire to pursue a knowledge of God. Courses are now being offered at many sites around the nation.
the purpose
Our goal is to equip the church for service in God's kingdom. God’s people, whether ministry or laity, must be prepared for the challenges presented to us by our society and times. The church is not to be absorbed by culture, but the culture is to be affected and influenced by the church. Knowing what truth is, and how to communicate it, is the only way that can happen. Understanding what we believe – and, very importantly, why – is essential to our mission in the world.
The vision of ExCeLL Now is to equip our people to accomplish this task. Paul expressed our goal well: “…to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith…and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:12).

the need
When the Texas District Board was presented with this program they immediately saw the potential of putting Bible College training within reach of a larger number of people. The need for skilled laborers in the field is greater now than ever. Only a very small percentage of our ministers are under 35 years old; most of our ministers are well into their 50s. As these seasoned ministers approach their retirement years, this is a cause for concern. Who will stand in the gap? Who will pastor, evangelize, preach, and teach after them?
We have a scriptural mandate to fulfill: ‘And the things that thou has heard of me… the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also’ (II Tim. 2:2). We urge all who hunger for in-depth training – both ministers and lay persons alike – to take advantage of this timely opportunity. The endtime demands faithful ministers: "Study to shew thyself approved of God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (II Tim. 2:15).
Be one of them!
